Ordering Process
Ordering your wedding can be a daunting process and I'm sure you're probably wondering "Where do we even start?" or "What design do we want?"
Feeling like this was is completely normal, and for most this is the first time that you will be ordering a cake of this size and importance. So we want to make it count. That's why I am here, dedicated to making this the smoothest, most enjoyable process for you.
Step 1
Get In Touch
Fill in the contact form with all the requested details. In particular I will need to know the date of your wedding, venue name and postcode, number of guests and your budget if known. I will arrange a brief telephone or zoom call with you, where we can chat about your initial ideas and to make sure that we are a good fit. From this I’ll be able to put together a rough estimate, the details of which I will send over to you via email.
Step 2
Secure Your Date
Once you are happy with your estimate I would recommend that you secure your wedding date in my diary with your booking fee of £150. If you are having a buttercream or semi naked cake, we will jump straight to choosing your delicious flavours and your tasting box will be sent out to you in the post.
Step 3
Creation Station
Within 4-6 months of your wedding date, I will invite you both for a full design consultation. This will be where we will decide on the intricate details and design of your cake. This will include the opportunity to sample a selection of cake so that you can decide on your mouthwatering flavours. After your consultation I will send over the completed details of your order complete with a sketch for you to approve
Step 4
Final Touches
You can now sit back and relax while I make the preparations for baking and decorating your wedding cake. This will usually include liaising with your venue and other vendors where necessary. The final balance for your wedding cake is due 4 weeks before your wedding date.
Step 5
Your Wedding Day
On the day, all that remains is for you to grab your glass of bubbly, and enjoy your day with your loved ones. At a pre-arranged time I will deliver and set up your cake at your venue. I will also style the cake table in collaboration with your florist, wedding planner or venue manager, ensuring that everything is in perfect order.
Additional Information
Please note that tasting boxes are included as part of the wedding service I provide to help you decide which delicious flavours to include in your wedding cake.
Trust me when I say my cakes truly taste amazing but in consideration of those of you that would like to try before you buy, tasting boxes are available for purchase at a cost of £40. They can also be collected. Should you then decide to go ahead and book with me the cost of your tasting box (minus postage) will be redeemable against your final invoice.
Client Love
Gwen offered us a first class service when we asked her to make our wedding cake. She was so patient and helpful to us even when we sent a plethora of cake images, designs and a change of colour scheme half way through!
Gwen went out of her way to source a particular feature of our cake because she knew how much we really wanted it. She was even prepared to source it for us when she was abroad on holiday. Our 3 tier, 3 flavoured wedding cake was loved by all.
“Can I have the details of the cakemaker” was a regular question asked by many guests after the wedding.
Thank you Gwen for being a part of our special day!

Price Guide
As every cake is individual to you as a couple and is dependent on the number of guests, design and decoration, it would be difficult to have a set price list. However, I do understand that it is necessary to be able to allocate funds to various elements of your wedding. So I have prepared a list of starting prices and average spends.
These figures are based on my standard round tiers which are approximately 5 inches tall. All sugarpaste finished cakes will have a layer of white or milk chocolate ganache and finished with sharp edges. Additional decoration such a flowers - fresh, silk or wafer; ruffles, stencilling and piping will add to your base price.
Delivery is not included in these prices.
I would recommend that you aim to cater for 75%-80% of your guests, as not everyone will want cake.
Please note that I have a minimum order value of £600, however you can include your favours, if you don’t need a big cake, to bring your order up to the minimum spend.
